Optical H-K9L glass AR coated cylinder lens

Cylindrical Lens has at least one surface that is formed like a portion of a cylinder.Cylindrical lens are used to correct astigmatism in the eye and in rangefinders, to produce astigmatism,stretching a point of light into a line.Some styles of cylindrical lens has anti reflective coatings to increase the transmission of light through the cylindrical lens. Fused silica cylindrical are ideal for demanding laser machining and medical applications.

Cylindrical lens are available in Plano-Concave Cylinder Lens, Plano-Convex Cylindrical Lens or Meniscus Cylinder Lens configurations. Plano-Concave Cylinder Lens has a negative focal length and are used for image reduction or to spread light. Plano-Convex Cylindrical lens has a positive focal length, which makes the cylindrical lens is ideal for collecting and focusing light for many imaging applications.
