Dome Lens is commonly used in meteorology applications, pyranometers, defence applications and often used in high pressure viewports in underwater cameras and submersibles.For this reason our Glass Dome Lens offer both high transmission as well as durability.
Schott N-Bk7 Optical Domes Lens or Hk9 Glass Dome Lens are used primarily in meteorology applications. For applications operating in the deeper UV range, we offers a range of UV fused silica glass dome lens.
For infrared applications we can provide sapphire dome lens. Sapphire is an extremely hard material with transmission of over 80% in the 2-5µm wavelength range. As with fused silica dome lens, sapphire dome lens is able to withstand extreme pressures, making it the perfect material for underwater camera and missile fairing applications.
